Cell Tech’s 2018 Mobile World Congress Favourites

So last month we saw the Mobile World Congress take place in Barcelona. Some of the world’s best technology was showcased and demonstrated so we thought we’d give you a rundown of our top favourite bits of tech from this years event. There was a range of gadgets this year from human-controlled robots to Tangrem’s Smart Skipping rope and even 3D face mapping selfies.

So let’s jump right into our favourites for this year’s Mobile World Congress!

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+

Samsung returned for another year, with their all new Galaxy S9 and S9+. All though the S9 & S9+ don’t look too different from their predecessors we can tell you that there have been some major changes which we love! The S9 & S9+ both have new and improved rear cameras, with the S9+ featuring two rear facing cameras. Samsung has also relocated the fingerprint scanner on the back of the phones to make it easier for users to unlock their phones.

Overall we think the new features really make the S9 & S9+ stand out amongst the crowd!

Drone Zone

Its safe to say we absolutely love drones here at Cell Tech. From flying them in the park to catching stunning 4K video, drones have been on our list of favourite tech for a few years now. There was new and improved drones from all over the globe at the Mobile World Congress which gave us a great look at how the drone industry is advancing year by year.

VR

By now we all know what VR is and most of us have probably tried it out. Well, there was lots to try in VR Corner! Visitors had the chance to test even more responsive, life-like and outright fun VR experiences that have been recently developed. Safe to say we are jealous!

Moto Mods

Now, this is our personal favourite, Motorola showcased their Moto Mods for the Moto Z phone. It allows owners to transform their phones into speakers, printers or and even a projector! Yes you read the right, a projector!

All though Motorola isn’t as popular as bigger brands the newly added mods are definitely going to hurt Apple and Samsung where it hurts!

Although this seems more of a fun upgrade for your phone this could have a really positive impact on how you use your phone at work. Having a phone with a clear and loudspeaker or even the option to project will be great for meetings or showing clients/co-workers new ideas or presentations you have prepared.

This is something we will be keeping our eyes out for!

Overall we have really enjoyed seeing this year’s best new and improved tech at the 2018 Mobile World Congress, let us know in the comments what your favourite bit of new tech was!
